Quality Assurance Engineer, Sr

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Exlar team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. They will also plan, implement, and manage compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution.

Responsibilities

• Designs, applies, and revises quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
• Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition, and implements corrective action as needed.
• May interface with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.
• Participates in audits.
• Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed.
• May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.

Requirements

• Four-year degree, or a two-year associates degree with previous quality engineering experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and testing practices for mechanical and electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• Must meet all eligibility criteria for export-controlled information.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in quality management systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).

Pay

$85,000 to $110,000 annually, with a range reflecting a position based in Minnesota. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.
