About the role
Voltage is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role supports and enhances quality systems within a high-volume wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing environment, working closely with cross-functional teams on the production floor to drive defect reduction, improve processes, and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer quality standards.
- Affirm quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assist with APQP activities and PPAP submissions.
- Provide quality engineering support across wire processing, harness assembly, and related manufacturing processes.
- Maintain product quality through monitoring incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Implement process controls and statistical monitoring methods (SPC).
- Lead and support root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reduce scrap, improve yield, and implement defect prevention strategies.
- Investigate customer complaints and lead corrective actions.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve quality performance.
- Train operators on quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with production quality systems and process improvement initiatives.
- Background in wire & cable, harness assembly, or similar manufacturing processes preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Experience with PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and CAPA methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience (SAP preferred).

Pay
$75,000 - $85,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
