Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Summary

This position supports Quality, Safety, Environmental, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on New Product Development (NPD) and project execution. The role works closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to support product launches, process improvements, and operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and support Quality-focused NPD, process improvement, and infrastructure projects
• Provide onsite support for product trials, testing, and launches
• Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to drive project execution
• Track performance metrics and prepare project updates
• Support development and implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Aid in improving process consistency, product quality, and operational efficiency

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or process environments preferred
• Experience working with SOPs, work instructions, and process standards
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to collaborate across teams and support project execution
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed

Preferred Experience / Certifications

• ASQ (CQE and/or CMQ/OE) or SME Lean certifications (or willingness to obtain within 24 months)
• Professional safety certification (as determined by leadership)

Work Environment

• Based onsite at an active mine and manufacturing facility
• Regular exposure to production, processing, and operational areas
• Work may involve walking, climbing, and navigating uneven terrain
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, or mud
• PPE required during plant work, including steel toe shoes and other safety equipment
• Travel up to 25% to support additional facilities
