Quality Assurance Engineer

Qualifications

• Advanced Quality planning including quality planning and control plan standards, FMEA, PPAPS, dimensional layouts, guage/fixture design, and performance/material testing.
• Advanced statistical concepts, designs of experiments, and problem solving methodology.
• Bachelor's degree, or its foreign degree equivalent, in industrial or automotive engineering.
• 4 years professional experience in auto/industrial manufacturing or related.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO/TS 16949:2009.

Skills

• Actively participate in program reviews and phase exit reviews.
• Develop and execute individual development plans and performance reviews for each QA.
• Develop key customer relationships in the supplier quality area.
• Develop key internal relationships with the goal of removing roadblocks and resolving issues.
• Lead quality functions within the area of responsibility, providing direct leadership to quality engineers.
• Perform continuous improvement in quality key measure performance and objectives, MSA, control plans, part inspection, capability studies and customer PPAP.
• Prepare a monthly assessment of all plus QE deliverables for the programs within their area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Address problem areas and oversee corrective action programs.
• Establish and review annual quality improvement plans as well as plant operational plans.
• Develop QA resource budgets and staffing needs.
• Participate in the interview process and add resources as required.
• Provide leadership to a large area of responsibility.
