About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to drive the planning, development, and implementation of testing activities to ensure applications meet functional, performance, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will take ownership of testing activities, manage tasks independently, communicate issues effectively, and deliver high-quality QA results.

Location: Raleigh, NC
Work Mode: Onsite
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience testing web, GUI, client/server, and database applications
  • 5+ years of experience with requirements analysis and automated test case/script development
  • 5+ years of experience with manual or automated testing, testing tools, writing test plans, and reviewing test cases
  • 5+ years of experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience with verbal and written communication skills to interact with developers, business analysts, and team members
  • 5+ years of experience prioritizing tasks and working with minimal supervision
  • 2+ years of experience executing SQL to validate or test
  • 5+ years of experience working in a rapidly changing environment
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile development (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience and proficiency using Tricentis tools including qTest and Tosca
  • Experience testing Curam products
  • Experience testing for health and human services projects
  • Experience developing and executing Tosca automation test scripts

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements for testability and completeness using functional specification documents, business requirements documents, and technical design documents
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, scrum masters, and team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Develop requirements into test conditions, test case scenarios, and test scripts
  • Develop and execute automated scripts using qTest and Tosca to test software functionality and identify defects
  • Maintain accurate test documentation, defect records, and traceability
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing activities
  • Evaluate test cases and testing artifacts for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate testing activities, report and track testing issues, and provide reproducible test cases
  • Work with team members to diagnose, recreate problems, prioritize, and implement solutions
  • Oversee test data collection and analysis according to project schedules and procedures
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups
  • Identify and communicate risks and provide solutions before issues impact delivery
