About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Cincinnati, OH team! Quality Assurance Engineers at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Cincinnati location develop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products for projects related to the nuclear industry, which is a highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Must assure compliance to CW Quality Management System, Customer purchase orders, specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare and provide product quality assurance documentation as required by customer programs and the quality management system.
  • Review and approve Quality Verification Documents.
  • Review and evaluate nonconformances, develop and implement corrective action as needed.
  • Perform vendor source inspection activities.
  • Participates in and support customer and vendor audits.
  • Perform inspections on safety related components and systems.
  • Able to follow and create work instructions.
  • Time management, multi-tasking, and communicating daily.
  • Work as a team member and participate in activities to improve operations and the facility.
  • Understand the workload and provide support as needed to meet business objectives.
  • Aids other personnel as required.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of related experience
  • Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications and/or 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants desired
  • Familiarity with ASME Section III, Rules for Constructions of Nuclear Facility Components a plus

Qualifications

  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
