Responsibilities

  • Design, organize, coordinate, and implement the Risk Management Program to control and minimize loss, protecting the human, physical, and fiscal assets of the organization.
  • Actively participate in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program ensuring the highest quality of healthcare.
  • Collaborate with personnel responsible for safety and security, actively participating in risk-related activities in this area.
  • Provide assistance with claims investigation, management, and litigation.
  • Facilitate reporting of safety data and events.
  • Evaluate risk management program(s) through data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis, presenting findings to appropriate committees.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, and procedures, including staff education activities, regarding risk reduction/elimination throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Fellow or Diplomat of American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers preferred.
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
  • Five years of clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, including a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
  • Experience in risk management and/or professional liability claims management preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to the facility.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $24.30 to $34.58 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Schedule

Part-time, less than 60 hours per pay period. Shift: Days.
