Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Manager to lead our quality engineering efforts. This role involves balancing speed, quality, and risk to deliver high-quality features. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can guide a team, collaborate across disciplines, and drive the continuous improvement of our automated testing strategies and quality metrics. The hiring team is looking for a team player who is comfortable contributing to projects alongside the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead through context by articulating goals, priorities, constraints, and success measures.
- Balance speed, quality, and risk with sound judgment and long-term thinking.
- Research, initiate, implement, and collaborate on advanced automated testing strategies.
- Partner with technical and process team members including App Dev, DevOps, QE, Product, and Design.
- Build and maintain high-performing teams by setting clear expectations and providing hands-on guidance.
- Serve as a culture carrier by demonstrating ownership, candor, and accountability.
- Influence the development of a quality automation plan in collaboration with QE Leadership.
- Drive the reduction of escaped defects through effective quality practices.
- Track and report on key quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure platform deliverables align with quality engineering strategy and best practices.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team development.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field.
- Three years of professional experience in Quality Automation.
- Three years of management experience in Quality Assurance, including conducting performance reviews.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in quality automation and advanced automated testing strategies.
- Proficiency with testing methodologies including Snapshot, Functionality, API, Unit, and Component testing.
- Experience with Jira and Xray for test case management.
- Familiarity with Charles Proxy for use with native mobile applications.
- Knowledge of Git-based version control systems.
- Understanding of the potential impact of AI on mobile technologies.
Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work in a hybrid model, with a presence onsite in the Memphis, TN or Dallas, TX office three days per week. Occasional travel of up to ten percent may be required.
