Quality Assurance Associate
About the role
The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating a quality assurance, safety, and accident prevention program in accordance with company standards. This role involves conducting periodic inspections of client sites and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met, preparing reports, and investigating accidents.
Responsibilities
- Performs inspections of contracted facilities, buildings, and equipment; prepares written reports of field quality inspections and unsafe conditions;
- Counsels employees and supervisors on preventing quality shortfalls and on-the-job injuries;
- Develops and conducts educational programs and instructional training sessions to reduce work-related injuries;
- Investigates accidents and conducts initial liability claim investigations when needed;
- Analyzes failure, corrective, and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints;
- Maintains current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and effectiveness monitoring;
- Completes liability, auto and property claims reports.
Requirements
Considerable experience in safety and loss control programs, including industrial and vehicular accident prevention programs. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Valid Florida Driver’s license. Experience handling insurance claims also helpful.
Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of loss prevention practices, procedures, and techniques used in varied employment situations and equipment operations. Considerable knowledge of standard safety equipment and safe driving methods applicable to varied types of vehicle operations and work areas. Some knowledge of risk management and claims investigation.
Skills
- Ability to conduct QA and Safety audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions;
- Ability to develop QA plans and other required process control procedures to ensure processes, work in progress, and finished goods meet the specified quality standards;
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to groups and individuals;
- Ability to implement and enforce loss prevention policies, procedures, and regulations;
- Ability to analyze vehicular and industrial accidents and make effective recommendations to prevent recurrence;
- Ability to carry out complex oral and written instructions;
- Ability to deal effectively and persuasively with employees, supervisors, site managers, vendors, and the executive team both verbally and in writing.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
