Responsibilities
- Review software requirements, technical specifications, and design documentation to develop effective testing strategies.
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
- Validate bug fixes and verify successful implementation prior to software releases.
- Collaborate with Development and Product teams to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with issue resolution.
- Utilize browser developer tools, APIs, databases, and system logs to investigate software issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, functional reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate testing results and project status clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance software quality and team efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and QA best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Preferred Experience
- Payroll, HCM, HRIS, CRM, or business software applications
- Agile/Scrum software development environments
- Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps
- SQL Server and SQL query writing
- REST API testing using Postman or Swagger
- Browser Developer Tools
- IIS, Windows Server, and Web APIs
- Test automation tools and frameworks
- Git or Azure DevOps repositories
- Test data creation and management
- Reviewing application, web server, and system logs for troubleshooting
- Responsive web application testing
