Technipaq is a family-owned and operated company serving the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industry since 1984. We operate over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space across three facilities, specializing in laminating, slitting, sheeting, die cutting, fabricating, and flexographic printing of pouches, lids, and roll stock.

About the role

The Quality Inspector performs routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods in-process, and finished goods to maintain peak productivity. This role reports to the Quality Manager and collaborates with all levels of the company to ensure customer specifications and quality guidelines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality guidelines.
  • Interact with various departments to maintain quality standards.
  • Read and interpret product specifications and work order instructions.
  • Prepare simple production reports.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ year of previous Quality Inspector experience in a production environment (flexible packaging industry preferred).
  • OR 1+ years of experience as a Machine Operator in a production environment performing quality checks.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance, manufacturing equipment, processes, and environments.
  • Ability to fluently speak and understand instructions in English.
  • Sufficient reading and writing skills in English to follow work orders and prepare reports.
  • Ability to measure and interpret measurements up to 1/16th of an inch using rulers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, walk, stand, push, and sit throughout an entire shift.
  • Required activities: near vision, mid-range vision, data entry, keyboarding, talking, hearing, and detailed work with hand motions.

Schedule

B Shift: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Location: Crystal Lake
