Role Overview The Quality & Patient Safety Specialist leads initiatives to improve clinical quality and patient safety within an oncology care setting. Key Responsibilities Manage quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes, such as closing care gaps Review adverse events, conduct root cause analyses, and collaborate on protocol revisions Perform site audits to ensure safety practices are followed Develop and deliver education and training for staff Track, measure, and report on project progress Facilitate workshops and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams Maintain comprehensive documentation and respond to inquiries Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, or related field Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare quality improvement Knowledge of industry standards, quality principles, and data analysis Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred This role involves travel, remote work, and physical activities like light lifting, with a focus on advancing evidence-based care and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
