About the role
The Project Manager-Qualitative is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple studies, both domestic and international, with a focus on qualitative research. The PM will actively and directly manage all aspects of each project to ensure successful completion, on time and within budget, while meeting and exceeding client expectations. The PM will work on a full team of Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers, all of whom report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage qualitative projects through the entire project life cycle, including all aspects of managing clients, partners, and healthcare professional sample.
- Complete project management of quantitative projects as needed.
- Facilitate screening, scheduling, and confirming of respondents for TDIs, focus groups, in-person IDIs, online qualitative interviews, etc., ensuring all respondents are prepared according to client requirements.
- Act quickly to replace no-shows, follow up with late respondents, send last-minute materials, etc., when alerted by client/moderator.
- Set up and test surveys/screeners, monitor statistics, manage respondent honoraria, and close/audit/invoice projects in a technology-based system.
- Coordinate and lead project kickoff meetings for all assigned studies to ensure all involved parties understand project specifications, client needs, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports on recruitment status to meet client needs.
- Proactively identify potential fielding concerns and issues during fieldwork. Partner with sales team members and operations staff to address issues and/or make recommendations to improve performance on research studies.
- Manage and leverage relationships with vendors, domestic and international, to facilitate accurate and timely deliverables, communications, and issue resolution.
- Manage study profitability by monitoring and accounting for all project costs affecting the budget.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to members of the Market Research Project Management team as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred).
- 2-3 years of Market Research experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple qualitative projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.
- Experience in quantitative project management (preferred).
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Quick learner of new technologies and software platforms.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to meet study-specific and departmental objectives.
