Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP)

About the role

Benchmark Human Services, a national leader in behavioral health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) services, is seeking a Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) for our community-based crisis response project in Southwest Arkansas (Texarkana, Hope, Magnolia, Eldorado, Camden). Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face or virtual coaching and training with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) of participating IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) providers.
• Assist agency staff with development, implementation, and monitoring of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), including coaching on data collection and fidelity checks.
• Work with DSPs and their supervisors to ensure all materials/supplies needed for implementation of behavior plans are available.
• Present graphical summaries of PBSP effectiveness to DSPs at staff or consultation meetings.
• Model positive behavioral supports and respond to emergency situations as trained.
• Complete Functional Behavioral Assessment Interviews and/or Observations, as assigned by a BCBA or Director.
• Write drafts of PBSP and other behavior plans in conjunction with the supervising BCBA.
• Participate in provider wraparound or consultation meetings by reporting assessment results and offering best-practice recommendations.
• Provide crisis de-escalation support to teams as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
• Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at time of application.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Maintain required certification and licensures.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Pay

$49,200 per year

Schedule

Full-time, combination of remote and in-person work with travel required in Southwest Arkansas (Texarkana, Hope, Magnolia, Eldorado, Camden).
