QC Testing Technician IV (Lead) - A Shift - Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm

About the role

The Tech IV Tester is responsible for performing tests on commercial HVAC systems to ensure they meet quality and production standards. They also correct any issues found during testing and coordinate daily testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Cook up units with Freon to meet engineering specifications.
• Check test units for leaks.
• Communicate effectively with management and employees to ensure high quality and on time delivery of units.
• Coordinate activities with employees and members of other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery of units.
• Locate leaks and repair them with brazing equipment.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climbing
• Stooping
• Sitting for prolonged periods
• Frequent visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Vocational/Technical Training to meet entry-level requirements.
• Industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
• License(s): 608 Universal EPA Refrigerant license.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair defects.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and engineering specifications.

Pay

$30.61 - $45.91 per hour.
