About the role

The QC Technician II supports product quality by performing basic to intermediate inspections and tests to verify that materials, components, and finished products meet purchase order, drawing, and quality requirements. This role applies established inspection criteria, uses intermediate measuring instruments and testing equipment, documents and analyzes inspection results, and communicates quality concerns to production, engineering, and quality leadership. The technician contributes to consistent product quality by identifying and investigating nonconformances, supporting corrective actions, maintaining inspection equipment and records, and helping develop inspection procedures and checklists while upholding safety, quality, and 5S standards.

  • Conduct intermediate level inspections and tests of products and materials
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment
  • Assist in developing inspection procedures and checklists
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2–4 years of experience in quality control or a related area
  • Proficiency with intermediate measuring instruments and testing equipment
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical documents
  • Experience with quality management software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in quality assurance

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds; team lift required for items over 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend and reach frequently to access parts for inspection
  • Manual dexterity required to handle measuring tools and small parts
  • Visual acuity required to perform detailed inspections and read specifications
  • Fine motor skills required to operate precision measuring instruments
