QC Technician (Chemical Quality Control) (EU)

Position: Full-time
Location: Ghent (Belgium) or Rotterdam (Netherlands)
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established SOP and specifications.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including performing calibration and troubleshooting issues (equipment includes: HPLC, QC, UV-vis, ICP, IR, polarity meter, etc.).
- Develop, validate, and update analytical methods and SOPs according to pharmacopeia and related literature.
- Perform stability testing to monitor shelf life over time according to plan; combine testing results, procedures, and findings and prepare testing reports.
- Analyze quality control data to identify trends and assist in troubleshooting quality issues.
- Ensure all activities comply with company quality policy and external regulatory standards (GMP or pharmacopoeia requirements).
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and QA teams to address quality concerns and support product development.
Requirements
- Knowledge of operation of several pieces of analytical equipment.
- Ability to work independently while being a team player; plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Eagerness to work under a quality system (ISO 9001:2015).
- Attention to detail and traceability in practical work and reporting.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge of the market in the region.
- Willingness to relocate or collaborate internationally.
Qualifications
- A professional bachelor's degree with expertise in preparative and analytical chromatographic techniques is required.
- Possession of a higher education qualification such as a master's degree will be considered advantageous.
