About the Role
This position gathers and tests products for quality control purposes, requiring constant interaction with work groups and other departments. The role involves demonstrating competency in activities that may directly or indirectly affect product safety, legality, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations of ingredients and products in various stages of production under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Obtain samples of ingredients/product at regular intervals.
- Evaluate samples for weight, color, bake, and other attributes.
- Perform microbiological tests.
- Routinely make recommendations for processing.
- Originate and maintain accurate records.
- Check metal detectors.
- Perform mathematical calculations on weight and log information on proper paperwork.
- Maintain flour-tailing reports.
- Train new Lab Technicians II as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area(s).
- Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
- Ensure all internal and external food safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures (e.g., EEO, harassment, safety, Sarbanes-Oxley).
- Fulfill work schedules, adhere to attendance policies, and follow other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of previous experience in a similar Quality Assurance lab.
Pay
$25.43 per hour.
