QC SCIENTIST I - PRODUCTS

Responsibilities

• Analyzes samples using established laboratory methods, performs calculations and data analysis, and provides compliant documentation for review and release of products.
• Continues training on analytical methods to achieve proficiency in testing all products for commercial release and stability programs.
• Assists in basic laboratory operations to support essential analytical testing.
• Performs basic troubleshooting for instruments and methods to meet sample testing requirements.
• Collaborates with management, QC Scientists, and Technicians to achieve assigned goals while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college or university in a scientific field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in QC testing (outside of Mission Pharmacal) or a minimum of one year of experience as an Associate Scientist at Mission Pharmacal.

Skills

• Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical instructions, including methods of analysis documents, SOPs, and certificates of analysis. Proficient in documenting data and results in the required format and communicating tasks and progress to management.
• Mathematical: Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as percentages, averages, standard deviations, and basic statistics for data analysis of test results. Skilled in following mathematical formulas with variables and creating validated spreadsheets for analytical data analysis.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficient in interpreting complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handling multiple abstract and concrete variables.
