QC Sample Management Group Leader - 2nd Shift (Wed-Sat)

Job Description Position Responsibilities: Verification of sample submissions to Quality ControlDocumentation of sample transactions in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)Handling, storage, and organization of samplesDelivering samples to QC laboratories for testing as requiredInteracting with outside customers and functional peer groupsFulfilling sample pull requestsCompliance with all pertinent regulatory agency requirementsConducting temperature, environmental, and/or CO2 monitoring.Preparation of samples for shipmentPerforming sample inventory and disposalEnsuring compliance with SOPs; reports any quality or other anomalies through the Deviation Notification and Resolution system Leadership Responsibilities Lead a team of Sample Management Specialists in a regulated facilityCoordinates, supports, and monitors performance of team through quality metrics while ensuring client deadlines are metCoordinates with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines.Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the teamManage time off and payroll entries of the teamMay participate in new hire interviewsSupports the on-boarding process of new employeesParticipates in training of other employees. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: cGMP experience Basic Minimum Qualifications Bachelors or Master's Degree in Life Sciences or related concentrationMinimum 2 years of relevant industry experienceLeadership experienceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitaskA keen eye for detailStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Additional Information Position is full-time, schedule is 2nd shift Wednesday - Saturday | 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Base pay is between $26.00-$30.00/hr. Second shift receives a 10% differential. A $50 flat-rate weekend shift differential will also be included for weekend shifts.
