QC Lab Tech - Weekend Shift Nights

About the role

This position is responsible for the testing of materials for both internal and external customers. The main duty is to inspect finished goods, work in process, and raw materials (new and those for extensions) for general workmanship and tolerances per specifications. You will interact and communicate effectively with production, planning, customer service, and other support groups as needed.

Schedule

Night Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM. Three 12-hour days, pays 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard evaluation and testing of batch samples from production and R&D
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
• Be dependable, ability to multi-task, and produce high-quality workmanship
• Learn and follow established protocols
• Maintain accurate records of results
• Perform regular lab verifications and calibrations
• Interact with Production personnel to ensure successful products
• Assist in Environmental testing
• Operate lab equipment: Refractive Index, Specific Gravity, Sensory, Data Analysis, and other lab equipment/testing as needed
• Responsible for adding waste to a satellite accumulation container, labeling, sampling, analyzing, and transporting hazardous waste
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Engage in environmental awareness and practical training relevant to job-related roles to adhere to applicable environmental policies and best practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree preferred)
