About the Role
This position is accountable for ensuring quality standards for manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include adhering to quality compliance with documents (such as specification drawings, procedures, and guidelines) and participating in activities to improve business processes. The role involves collaborating with Engineering to review problems and propose solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to define quality plans.
- Perform reliability and qualification testing for prototypes, new products, and production builds.
- Collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineers for test data analysis.
- Document test results and processes using defined test reports.
- Assist in evaluating existing equipment improvements and new process equipment specifications.
- Communicate with manufacturing supervisors to review production problem areas, special projects, and other items needing attention and follow-up.
- Create worksheet logs for production use to provide data (e.g., KPI: polisher log, connector log).
- Assist the Engineering department with Quality Assurance.
- Promote safety and quality on the production floor.
Skills
- Work experience in reliability testing and measurement or other technical functions such as repair, system engineering, or verification.
- Experience with measurement equipment and testing of software and hardware.
- English/Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable.
- Technical/practical knowledge of fiber and copper cable highly desirable.
