Description
The $3.8B Manhattan Jail Project includes design and construction of a new state-of-the-art facility with dedicated space for on-site services, recreation, food services, staff offices, amenities, and parking. The facility will have 1,040 beds and 20,000 square feet of community and commercial space.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP quality control in building construction projects
- Proven experience in conducting inspections, audits, and managing quality documentation
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency with quality management software and MS Office
- Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) are a plus
Qualifications
- Manage a team of Quality professionals to execute administrative tasks related to reporting site evaluations, quality reporting requirements, and site specific quality planning
- Conduct random site evaluations, including follow-up evaluations to ensure corrections have been made to deficiencies
- Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and quality issues across project teams and among all quality personnel
- Act as a resource for field operations with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements as well as local quality regulations including: ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC
- Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department Staff, and Subcontractors
- Stay abreast of trends and evolving best practices by participating in organizations and forums dedicated to Quality
