QC Chemist - Various shifts - Allegan MI

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing on purchased materials and finished products in the Quality Control Laboratory, including:
  • Preparing sample/standard solutions
  • Performing physicals and identification testing (e.g., pH meter, density meter, UV-Visible Spectrometry, Infrared Spectrometry, Malvern particle size analyzer, titration, viscosity)
  • Quantitative analysis using instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, dissolution baths, Atomic Absorption
• Proficiently use electronic laboratory notebooks and input data to SAP
• Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning
• Participate in training and development
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred — HS diploma required
• Recent graduates within MI are urged to apply and highly desirable
• Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work well individually and in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$21 – $23.33/hr, depending on shift. Training pay is $21/hr for all shifts (2–4 weeks). Post-training pay increases to $21.50/hr for evening shift and $23.33/hr for weekend shift.

Schedule

• Dayshift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
• Evening Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
