Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing on purchased materials and finished products in the Quality Control Laboratory, including:
- Preparing sample/standard solutions
- Performing physicals and identification testing (e.g., pH meter, density meter, UV-Visible Spectrometry, Infrared Spectrometry, Malvern particle size analyzer, titration, viscosity)
- Quantitative analysis using instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, dissolution baths, Atomic Absorption
- Proficiently use electronic laboratory notebooks and input data to SAP
- Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning
- Participate in training and development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred — HS diploma required
- Recent graduates within MI are urged to apply and highly desirable
- Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work well individually and in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pay
$21 – $23.33/hr, depending on shift. Training pay is $21/hr for all shifts (2–4 weeks). Post-training pay increases to $21.50/hr for evening shift and $23.33/hr for weekend shift.
Schedule
- Dayshift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
- Evening Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
