Purpose
The QC Chemist III is an individual contributor who performs testing of samples using various techniques and equipment in the QC laboratory. The role may be tailored based on department, education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and advanced testing or analysis in a specific group or department setting.
- Operate specialized equipment or conduct specialized skill testing (e.g., Karl Fisher, HPLC, GC, Particle size, ICP).
- Perform raw materials testing and release.
- Lead investigation activities.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity, cGMP practices, procedures, and good documentation practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Department or Section Head.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in physical sciences preferred.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) for scientific work.
- Excellent organization, learning, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and scientific software.
- Experience with Inhalation products (MDI) is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Works in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, lab coats, safety glasses, respiratory protection, and hearing protection.
- Exposure to solvents, powders, or other materials common in pharmaceutical labs or manufacturing facilities.
- May be assigned to Day, Evening, or Night shifts, including weekends or holidays as required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing or walking unassisted for 75% or more of an 8-hour period.
- Unassisted lifting up to 10 kg may be required.
- Able to wear PPE at all times when required.
- Sitting at a desk or working at a computer/screen for 75% or more of an 8-hour period.
Professional and Behavioral Competencies
- Willingness to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting.
- Ability to work any assigned shift (first or second shift) and weekends based on business needs.
- No remote work available.

Pay
$96,000 – $103,000 per year.
Schedule
General shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary based on business needs). Work schedule may be Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as required.
