QC Analyst Contract

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced QC Analyst to support Quality Control operations within a growing pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on laboratory professional with 3–5+ years of relevant experience who is comfortable working in GMP-regulated environments and supporting environmental monitoring, QC testing, documentation, and laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine Environmental Monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms, Cell Processing Units, facilities, and QC equipment
  • Set up and operate QC laboratory equipment including cell counters, centrifuges, and analytical balances
  • Handle and coordinate QC samples for release testing
  • Execute approved protocols and support process development activities
  • Collect, compile, and maintain data from QC testing and Environmental Monitoring
  • Complete GMP documentation, testing forms, logbooks, and other quality records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Follow SOPs, GLP, cGMP requirements, safety procedures, and established QC schedules
  • Support the revision of SOPs, testing forms, and other controlled documents
  • Maintain QC laboratory and manufacturing-area inventory and coordinate material requests
  • Process material and purchase requisitions through ERP systems
  • Support training and onboarding of new QC personnel
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Senior QC Analysts
  • Navigate and recognize deviations from established procedures
  • Proactively communicate and escalate issues
  • Procure and coordinate dry ice for clinical sample shipments when required
  • Travel between company facilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or another science-related field
  • 3–5+ years of relevant laboratory/QC experience
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of:
    • cGMP
    • SOPs
    • QC testing and documentation
    • Environmental Monitoring
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
  • Ability to follow established procedures while recognizing and escalating issues
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Good laboratory/hand-eye coordination and ability to perform hands-on laboratory activities
