QA Tester/Business Analyst

About the role

Join us as a QA Tester/Business Analyst, combining hands-on testing expertise with a business-focused mindset to ensure our enterprise applications meet functional requirements, quality standards, and user expectations. You'll act as a trusted advisor to the Senior Director of Technology, working across UI, API, backend, and integrated enterprise systems. This role spans the full delivery lifecycle: from requirements discovery and acceptance criteria through test planning, execution, UAT, release validation, and production follow-up. Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts, test data, and traceability for new features, enhancements, integrations, and defect fixes
• Execute functional, system integration, regression, end-to-end, smoke, exploratory, and release-validation testing across web, API, and backend systems
• Validate business-critical workflows such as registrations, orders, payments, billing, invoicing, refunds, project processing, notifications, and reporting
• Perform API and integration testing (REST and SOAP), including request/response validation, error handling, and data reconciliation
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, and translate them into user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate UAT planning, execution, defect review, business sign-off, and evidence collection
• Document defects with clear reproduction steps and business impact, and support release-readiness, go-live validation, and root-cause analysis

Requirements

• Experience in quality assurance, software testing, business analysis, or a combined QA/BA role within enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, and UAT testing
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test cases, and traceability
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and troubleshooting
• Experience with test-management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, qTest, Zephyr, or similar
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Understanding of Agile delivery practices, sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and release planning

Nice to have

• Experience testing SAP integrations, SOAP services, financial transactions, invoicing, or project-related workflows
• Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM, payment, customer, or enterprise platforms
• Familiarity with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Experience with performance, accessibility, security, or mobile testing
• Experience preparing dashboards, quality metrics, or executive-level status reports
