QA Tester

Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking a QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API automation, database testing, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within an Agile/Scrum framework.

Responsibilities

• Perform REST API automation testing using Karate or REST Assured
• Conduct API contract testing using Swagger/OpenAPI
• Test APIs on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Test with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)
• Utilize API mocking tools (WireMock/MockServer)
• Apply security testing concepts (OWASP API Security)
• Work within the full SDLC and Agile/Scrum teams
• Mentor junior QA engineers and collaborate across engineering teams
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in REST API automation testing (Karate or REST Assured)
