QA Technician - 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Makes measurements and performs quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
• Evaluates all finished product in regards to moisture, ingredient content, breakage, color, package fill, raw and finished weights, seal integrity, code date legibility, and overall product quality.
• Accurately documents all testing.
• Performs sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to maintain product consistency and compliance with established specifications including color, moisture, weight, FFA, size, etc.
• Utilizes testing equipment for verification.
• Communicates all out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production employees and Production/QA Supervisors.
• Follows safety and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
• Conducts pre-op inspections of processing, packaging and process equipment after product changeovers and/or prior to weekly production start-up as a cross-functional team.
• Performs plant sanitation verifications to ensure allergen-free and equipment is clean.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of food manufacturing production/QA experience preferred.

$22.50/hour

Schedule

3rd Shift Hours: Generally starts between 10:45 PM and 7:00 AM, with overtime as needed based on business needs. Start times and hours may vary due to attendance coverage, production schedules, and holiday operations. Strong attendance and punctuality are required.
