About the Role

1st Shift (5am–3pm) at $17.60 per hour. This position has several key functions, including product releasing, maintaining and updating our food safety and quality systems, managing ingredient risk assessments, serving as the backup for label development and creation, addressing internal labeling questions, and acting as the first point of contact for customer complaint follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Hold and Release Program: Ensure all non-conforming products are placed on hold until disposition is determined. Release items on “pending pre-shipment” hold once documentation, spec compliance, and micro results are verified as accurate and in specification. Revise and present data in weekly hold/rework meetings.
• GFSI Compliance: Update and maintain GFSI compliance documents and records to facilitate the annual review process.
• Label Development and Creation: Maintain training and understanding of label requirements to perform functions when the primary employee is unavailable.
• Food Safety Program and Systems: Lead HACCP (or PC for FDA Plants) plan development, maintenance, and reassessment, including all associated documents and records. Enable training of employees as required.
• Customer Complaint Follow-Up: Communicate with customers as needed for additional information during the complaint investigation process.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• HACCP and PCQI certification preferred.
• Understanding of GFSI standards preferred.
• Knowledge of administrative duties to maintain and organize records, reports, or other information.
• Computer literacy in Office programs.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in presenting information or ideas concisely, accurately, and clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in analyzing and documenting simple and complex business processes.
• Strong communication with a focus on listening and influencing skills.
• Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in decision-making and problem-solving; seeks help promptly as necessary.

Pay

$17.60 per hour.

Schedule

1st Shift (5am–3pm).
