QA Tech - 3rd shift (11pm to 7am)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs line checks to insure conformance to customer and specification requirements.
• Performs inspection of raw materials/packaging components used on the production line.
• Completes documents/records following cGMP documentation practices.
• Performs colorimeter checks.
• Performs statistical sampling following ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 sampling requirements.
• Locates raw material, packaging components or finished product by IC number or production date using current inventory control software.
• Performs incoming sampling and inspects packaging components (as needed).
• Adheres to company safety policies.
• Comply with the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Environmental policies when handling and disposing of chemicals.
• Performs additional duties as requested by those authorized to request such activities including required overtime to meet departmental requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High school education/GED; one to two years of experience in quality assurance role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; general knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Windows office software (Word, Excel).
• Ability to obtain required information from Oracle/Visual software programs.
• Ability to interact with those contacted in the course of work, including employees at all levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
• Flexibility to adapt to various work situations, organizes work for appropriate and timely completion, and function independently without supervision.
