Responsibilities
- Evaluates and improves the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations.
- Evaluates and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards).
- Performs quality audits/ reviews and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
- Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
- Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
- Associate's Degree in Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred.
- Required Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
