QA Specialist II ( 1 PB)

About the Role

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components, and/or operations. Develops, assures, and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000, and AS9100 standards), quality audits, and review processes. This role requires working knowledge and experience in quality assurance methods, broadening capabilities, and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and review cycles.
• Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules.
• Participates in audits and creates audit reports.
• Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintains and improves the Quality Management System and generates reports as needed.
• Creates, updates, and leads Quality training as needed.
• May administer material review boards and database.
• May lead or support various projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 2-4 years of experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
• Critical professional-related technical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Experience or knowledge in: Batch Testing, Inspection, Nondestructive Testing, Product QA, Quality Assurance Process, Quality Improvement, Quality Inspection, Quality Management System (QMS).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require exposure to changing climate conditions and/or operating machinery, both inside and outside.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.
