QA Specialist I

About the role

Location: San Diego, CA. Duration: 6 Months (potential for extension/conversion). 100% onsite. Shift: 10PM to 6:30AM.

Responsibilities

• Run in-process, stability/calibration, final release, and experimental devices
• Complete testing data and documentation
• Solve process-related questions/problems and minor investigations
• Review device history records
• Train new employees/Quality Control Technician I
• Operate laboratory equipment safely
• Manage inventory of testing materials
• Comply with Alere Quality Management System, ISO, FDA, and business policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School/GED graduate or equivalent
• 2–5 years relative work experience

Qualifications

• BS in a science-related field (preferred)
• 2–5 years of laboratory experience in quality control/assurance or manufacturing, preferably in vitro diagnostics (preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
• Organized and detail oriented
• Team player with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
