About the role
Location: San Diego, CA. Duration: 6 Months (potential for extension/conversion). 100% onsite. Shift: 10PM to 6:30AM.
Responsibilities
- Run in-process, stability/calibration, final release, and experimental devices
- Complete testing data and documentation
- Solve process-related questions/problems and minor investigations
- Review device history records
- Train new employees/Quality Control Technician I
- Operate laboratory equipment safely
- Manage inventory of testing materials
- Comply with Alere Quality Management System, ISO, FDA, and business policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School/GED graduate or equivalent
- 2–5 years relative work experience
Qualifications
- BS in a science-related field (preferred)
- 2–5 years of laboratory experience in quality control/assurance or manufacturing, preferably in vitro diagnostics (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
- Organized and detail oriented
- Team player with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
