QA/QC Manager

About the role

Suffolk is seeking a Construction QA/QC Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for implementing and managing quality control plans to ensure compliance with specifications, plans, and governmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Corporate Quality Management Program across all areas of the business.
• Expand and develop standard operating procedures and processes to achieve the highest levels of quality.
• Aid in the creation of project-specific Quality Management Plans and verify their implementation.
• Create mechanisms for sharing best practices and addressing quality issues across project teams.
• Conduct random site evaluations and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Manage a team of Quality Managers and professionals to execute administrative tasks.
• Assist with compliance on Federal and State regulatory requirements, including ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, and FBC.
• Develop and update comprehensive training curriculum for all field operations, Quality Department staff, and subcontractors.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in quality management.
• Represent Suffolk with clients, trade partners, and project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience in related construction fields.
• Strong understanding of means and methods of construction.
• Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of national and state codes and quality regulations/standards.
