QA / QC Lab Data Reviewer

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive QA review of laboratory testing data and documentation, focusing on analytical chemistry methods including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution.
  • Verify mathematical calculations, transcription accuracy, and overall data completeness for a variety of test types.
  • Review laboratory notebooks, worksheets, electronic records, and supporting documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and GMP practices.
  • Identify discrepancies, data issues, and documentation gaps, and actively support issue resolution activities.
  • Work closely with QC personnel to facilitate timely release of reviewed records and support ongoing laboratory operations.
  • Support routine quality review activities during periods of heightened project demands and increased workload.
  • Apply understanding of GMP documentation practices to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Review multiple laboratory workflows and test types, including analytical chemistry, bioassay, bioanalytical, or microbiology methods as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready QA documentation within the QA office environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA review processes by providing feedback on documentation and workflow issues.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a relevant degree is preferred but not required.
  • At least 3 years of prior laboratory, QA, or QC experience in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing QA documentation review of QC records or peer review of laboratory data.
  • Hands-on experience with standard analytical methods such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution, or equivalent review experience.
  • Strong ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and aptitude for identifying discrepancies in data and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of GMP documentation practices and regulated laboratory environments.
  • Proficiency in reviewing laboratory notebooks, worksheets, electronic records, and supporting documentation.
  • Effective collaboration skills for working closely with QC personnel and other team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in chemistry, microbiology, analytical chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Background in quality control, quality assurance, or laboratory operations within a regulated setting.
  • Experience reviewing bioassay or bioanalytical test methods or microbiology data is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with analytical chemistry techniques and laboratory workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple documentation reviews concurrently.
  • Able to adapt to heightened project demands and maintain quality standards under increased workload.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
