QA/QC Engineer

About the role

Structural Technologies is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join our Structural Technologies/VSL team in Pompano Beach, FL. The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for quality control of shop drawings and provide technical support for the detailing, installation, and repair of various post-tension systems. They will work closely with the detailing, coordination, shop, and estimating teams.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of shop drawings
• Technical support for post-tension detailing, design, and engineering
• Attend client meetings and site visits for inspections, repairs, and coordination
• Maintain current knowledge with the latest developments in post-tension design and construction

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in post-tension detailing, design, and/or engineering
• Good understanding of relevant PTI and ACI codes
• Demonstrated knowledge of reinforced concrete design, steel design, concepts, mechanics of materials, and cast-in-place concrete construction practice
• Experience in the evaluation, assessment, and repair of post-tensioned systems
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Florida PE licensure (or ability to obtain in a short time)

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering may be preferred
