Responsibilities
- Communicate with operators as to quality requirements.
- Aid operators on changeovers, start-ups, and quality confirmations.
- Support production by being a QA presence at production lines.
- Interact with operators and helpers to ensure standard work is done consistently.
- Select and test products at various production stages.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Collaborate with management and engineering on standards.
- Follow safety and procedural guidelines, strictly.
- Record and evaluate test data, noting deviations.
- Input data into analysis systems.
- Support Tier One Problem Solving utilizing QC Tools (e.g., fishbone, 5 Why, etc.).
- Serve as a quality contact for operators and helpers.
- Conduct and document production audits.
- Maintain a quality presence in production areas.
- Support daily Tier 1 meetings to department as needed.
- Works closely with Quality and Engineering departments to resolve quality issues, processing issues, or organizing experimental trials.
- Assists with COPQ tasking and training.
- Supports the training of new hires on critical to Quality in-process checks, Quality related procedures, and gaging.
- Serves as a quality contact for internal and external ISO Audits.
- Supports, audits, and monitors calibration system.
