About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our Digital Infrastructure (DI) team, working remotely or in a hybrid setup in Coppell, TX, or New York, NY. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to define digital strategies, design, and implement innovative testing solutions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your primary focus will be on identifying weaknesses in applications, automating testing processes, and maintaining robust test suites to support continuous integration and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation frameworks, API testing, and functional testing, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in QA engineering or software testing
- Proficiency in Selenium with Java and Cucumber framework
- Experience with automation frameworks integrating backend RESTful APIs
- Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Postman, Zephyr, Appium, Sauce Labs, Flyway, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, and Maven
- Strong understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience in creating and maintaining automation scripts and test data
- Ability to troubleshoot automation issues and analyze test reports effectively
- Experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Identify weaknesses and problem areas within software applications through comprehensive testing strategies
- Develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts to streamline testing processes
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test summary reports for stakeholders
- Collaborate with development, operations, support, and business teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Track and investigate software bugs, root causes, and resolution strategies
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing to validate application quality
- Maintain and enhance the automation test suite to support continuous integration pipelines
- Generate and analyze automation reports, including Extent and Cucumber reports
- Trigger automation runs and troubleshoot issues within automation frameworks
- Understand software internals to debug problems and automate repetitive tasks efficiently
- Participate actively in code reviews, pull requests, and version control management
