QA Engineer Automated 3
Job Summary
A state government agency is seeking a QA Automation Engineer III to design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. The role involves creating automated test scripts, developing test plans and test cases, performing functional and regression testing, and supporting software quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks for application testing.
- Prioritize test scenarios and create execution plans for automated and manual testing activities.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test environments.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Analyze application requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Debug software issues and support defect resolution efforts.
- Review and enhance software testing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Prepare detailed testing documentation, analysis reports, diagrams, and verification procedures.
- Collaborate with development, business, and project teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Support multiple testing initiatives while ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience designing automated tests and developing automation scripts.
- 8+ years of experience prioritizing test scenarios and creating test execution plans.
- 8+ years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and test environments.
- 8+ years of experience performing functional, application, and regression testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies.
- Ability to interpret business and technical requirements and update test documentation accordingly.
- Experience with analysis, planning, and management reporting activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and related documentation templates.
- Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.
- Knowledge of software architecture, infrastructure components, and technology roadmaps.
- Experience working in large government or public-sector environments.
- Experience working on enterprise applications.
