QA Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled EMS Testing Automation Analyst with a strong testing foundation and a passion for automation. This role focuses on building scalable testing frameworks, automating validation workflows, and ensuring high-quality, reliable EMS (Energy Management System) software releases, including Leader and Trip Optimizer.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for EMS applications (Leader, Trip Optimizer).
• Build automated validation pipelines to support software releases and reduce manual testing effort.
• Develop scripts and tools to validate train handling behavior, EMS outputs, and system performance.
• Ensure repeatable, scalable, and high-quality testing processes aligned with release cycles.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Support and enhance EMS platforms through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of hands-on experience developing solutions in Python with a strong focus on data analytics and automation.
• Strong programming expertise in Python for automation, testing frameworks, and data analysis.
• Expert-level experience with Excel, including complex formulas, pivots, and data modeling.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly presenting technical findings to both technical and business audiences.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
• Demonstrated capability to deliver high-quality, low-defect software validation outcomes.
• Experience building end-to-end automation solutions, from data ingestion to validation and reporting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building dashboards and analytics using Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Prior experience with PTC systems and Energy Management Systems (EMS), including Leader and Trip Optimizer.
