What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
- Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Testing water to maintain chemical treatment.
- Serving the operations group.
- Reviewing laboratory data.
- Managing multiple tasks and working independently.
- Fostering a safe work environment in compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and site standards.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities)
- A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation (e.g. GC, Elemental Analyzer, titrators, pH meters) and wet chemistry analyses.
- Ability to calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
- Knowledge of laboratory principles.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook specifically).
- Self-motivated.
- Experience with SAP.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and documenting lab data.
- Attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
