About the role
NTT DATA's Client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team in Arlington, Texas.
Day to Day Job Duties
- Design and develop automated test scripts for web and API-based applications using Selenium WebDriver and C#
- Create, maintain, and execute BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) test scenarios using SpecFlow and Gherkin syntax
- Build and enhance Page Object Model (POM) automation frameworks to improve scalability and maintainability
- Develop and execute data-driven test scenarios with dynamic test data management
- Perform API testing and integrate API validation with UI automation testing for end-to-end coverage
- Implement and support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution and reporting
- Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Development teams to translate requirements into automated test cases
- Maintain, refactor, and optimize existing automation frameworks and test scripts
- Create and maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking artifacts
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and distinguish application defects from automation script issues
- Mentor junior team members on automation best practices, framework design, and testing standards
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, or API Test Automation
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured, and Swagger/OpenAPI
- Minimum 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and C#
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar tools
- Minimum 2+ years of strong understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, and XML
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with test automation frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, TestNG, or PyTest
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with source control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
- Minimum 2+ years of exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
