About the Role

Proven Recruiting is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen automated testing across user interfaces, APIs, and backend systems. This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced QA professional who can build UI automation for a new platform while expanding API test automation and validating backend data. The successful candidate will bring strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, along with hands-on knowledge of SQL and modern QA automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated UI tests for a new software platform.
• Build and enhance API test automation frameworks.
• Design and execute automated tests to validate application functionality and reliability.
• Use SQL to validate backend data and verify application results.
• Identify, document, and help troubleshoot defects discovered through automated testing.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve test coverage and quality.
• Contribute to automation strategies that support efficient software delivery.
• Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD workflows.

Required Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of professional experience in QA automation or software testing.
• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience developing UI automation.
• Experience with API test automation and testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with SQL for backend data validation.
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance and automated testing practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience working in collaborative software development environments.

Compensation

• Hourly compensation: $60–$74 per hour.
• Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
