About the Role
Experienced QA Automation Engineer with 5-7 years of hands-on expertise in test automation, quality assurance, and software testing across web and client applications. Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium, with strong capabilities in UI, API, and database testing. Adept at working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through comprehensive test coverage and defect management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
- Create, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Perform UI, API, and database automation testing using industry-standard tools.
- Write, execute, and analyze SQL queries for test validation.
- Use test management and defect tracking tools such as HP ALM, ALM Octane, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, test estimation, execution, and retrospectives.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases for complete functional coverage.
- Test web-based and client/server applications.
- Apply QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, defect lifecycle management, and software quality best practices.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in automation testing with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and Selenium.
- Proficient in Typescript/JavaScript.
- Good understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective testing strategies.
- Flexible, proactive, and capable of handling changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
