About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our Internet team at Uline's corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping quality user experiences through the development and maintenance of innovative test automation solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize Playwright to design automated tests, frameworks, and scripts that ensure our web, API, and mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA analysts to define best practices, create robust test cases, and integrate automation into our CI/CD pipelines. Your efforts will directly contribute to the seamless delivery of our digital products, supporting Uline's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of scripting experience in QA Automation Engineering
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright
- Proficiency in programming with modern languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript
- Foundational knowledge of SQL, API testing, version control with GIT, and Agile methodologies
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications using Playwright
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to define testing best practices and create comprehensive test cases that enhance reliability and performance
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles
- Execute automated and manual tests, monitor test results, and work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Document automation frameworks, test scripts, and results, providing clear reports and actionable insights
- Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes to increase efficiency and coverage
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging tools to enhance testing strategies
