About the role
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that validate the functionality, performance, and security of our software applications. This is primarily a remote role though there might be times when you would have to travel to a client locations in the DMV area.
Responsibilities
- Design and write maintainable automated test scripts for web applications and backend APIs.
- Build and scale robust automation frameworks using tools like Playwright / Selenium / other to increase code coverage.
- Analyze requirements and user stories to create detailed, structured end-to-end test plans.
- Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests prior to major production releases.
- Identify, log, and track software defects in issue tracking systems, detailing reproduction steps and severity.
- Isolate and troubleshoot test failures to determine if issues stem from application bugs or test script instability.
- Collaborate in Agile development ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience with QA experience
- Experience with automation
- Experience coding with any of the following, but not limited to: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL
- Experience with back-end, front-end, and API testing
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Analytical Thinker: Sharp problem-solving abilities to identify edge cases and hidden vulnerabilities.
- Detail Oriented: A meticulous eye for identifying behavioral regressions and UI anomalies.
Clearance
An active TS/SCI is required with the ability to obtain polygraph.
Pay
The base pay range for this position in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $111,200—$139,800 USD
