Job Responsibilities

• Research information to support decision making and improve processes, technologies, or methodologies, including development of operational or financial tools
• Analyze business performance data to produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, and ad hoc reports, as requested
• Solicit input from a number of internal and external sources
• Lead activities related to a financial/operational system, program, or process
• Prepare, analyze, and interpret information including budgets, forecasts, mine plans, business plans and operating review presentations
• Compile, prepare, and audit documents such as annual operating plans and monthly financial reporting packages for business units
• Cookordination with management to gather and analyze operational or financial results and prepare recommendations based on analytical models
• Prepare financial analysis and interpretation necessary for decisions on capital investment, customer bid, and proposals, pricing, and other financial or operational related issues

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• University degree in finance / economics
• Additional specialized education of up to 2 years
• Formal professional or technical registration in appropriate area of expertise

Experience:

• 3 – 5 years of related work experience or equivalent
• Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
