Python Test Automation Developer

About the role

This is a 3-month contract-to-hire role for a Python Test Automation Developer, located in Philadelphia, PA, with an immediate start date. A background check is mandatory.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience as an active contributor to all phases of the software development lifecycle, with strong development experience in Python in test automation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Develop test automation using Python
• Understand lab automation platforms
• Demonstrate knowledge of the HTTP specification and the RESTful style
• Apply understanding of basic data structures and common algorithms
• Utilize object-oriented development, data modeling, and design patterns
• Work with data serialization formats such as XML, JSON, or ASN1
• Operate in a Linux/Unix environment, including basic system configuration and scripting
• Design and build systems for highly available multi-site deployment environments
• Understand network architectures and techniques for tuning application performance
• Communicate advanced technical concepts to diverse audiences

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in software development
• Strong development experience in Python in test automation
• Understanding of lab automation platforms
• Detailed knowledge of the HTTP specification and the RESTful style
• Thorough understanding of basic data structures and common algorithms
• Proficiency with object-oriented development, data modeling, and design patterns
