About the Role

This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. You will ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, with a focus on well-designed solutions that prioritize maintainability, ease of integration, and testing from the outset. The ideal candidate possesses strong proficiency in industry-standard development and testing practices and has extensive experience using design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
  • Participate in and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform spikes or proof-of-concept work as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver requirements/stories per defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, and business layers) in the design and development of client requirements.
  • Assist the team in resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
  • Design, develop, or modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
  • Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Automate manual release activities.
  • Mentor other Software Engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and automating the tool stack.

Requirements

  • Programming in Python (or equivalent/similar programming languages).
  • Understanding of grid, distributed, parallel, or high-performance computing concepts.
  • Knowledge of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities) or Equities products in pricing, risk, and PnL domains.
  • Experience with software development, testing, deployment, and support using agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to function as part of a high-performance team, working on high-priority deliverables.
  • Proven ability to solve real problems and add value to the business.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across technology and the business.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with platforms similar to Quartz.
  • Lead technologist experience.
  • Experience with risk calculation projects.
  • Ability to coach junior developers.
  • Ability to collaborate with various technology teams across the bank.

Pay

$54.62 - $64.62 per hour.

Schedule

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
